FAQ

1. How do I know whether my monitor is compatible with the monitor mount?

  • Ensure your monitor size and weight are within the ranges specified for the monitor mount.

img

  • Check that the VESA pattern of your monitor (distance between the four bolt holes on the back) is 75 x 75mm or 100 x 100mm. You may need to remove a stand or cover to access the VESA bolt holes. If your monitor doesn't have VESA holes you will need a VESA mount adapter (such as HNMUA4, available on Amazon).

Note: You can also use the HUANUO Monitor Mount Finder tool to see what monitor mounts are compatible with your monitor.

2. Do I need to drill a hole in my desk for monitor mounting?

  • No. There are two mounting options. A C-clamp is included for simple mounting directly on the desk with no drilling or other work required. The alternative grommet hole mounting method requires an existing grommet hole or drilling of a hole, but you do not have to use this method.

img

3. Can I use a monitor mount on a glass desk?

  • If clamping a monitor mount on surfaces like glass or engineered wood, it is recommended to use an additional Monitor Mount Reinforcement Plate. These accessories provide a solid mounting surface and spread the load to protect the desk and stabilize the monitor mount. This is particularly important if you’re mounting multiple large screens on a dual monitor mount or triple monitor mount.

4. What can I do if my desk frame obstructs the monitor mount clamping position?

  • You can create a suitable clamping surface by placing a solid wooden block under the desktop, level with the desk frame. Alternatively, use grommet hole bolt-through clamping to mount away from the desk frame.

5. What should I do if anything is missing or damaged when I receive the package?

  • Everything needed for setup is included in the package. Before starting installation, check you have the manual and all listed parts. lf anything is missing or damaged, please contact us.

Note: Not all hardware included in the package will be used.

img

6. Is there any way to make the monitor mount a little higher?

  • If you have a thinner desktop, you could try placing a solid wooden block on top of the desk, between the desktop and the C-clamp. This will add a few inches of height.

img

7. Why don't the monitor arms maintain position?

  • For the arms to maintain position, gas spring tension needs to be adjusted (with monitors mounted) using the bolt on top of the arms. Hold upper arm horizontal while adjusting tension.

img

  • If the monitor rises up, turn the bolt in the ‘-’ direction to reduce tension (lower). If the monitor drops down, turn the bolt in the ‘+’ direction to increase tension (raise).
  • Once gas spring tension is adjusted, the arms maintain any position set by the user and can be moved freely during use.
  • If you have any issues accessing the tension adjustment bolt or adjusting tension correctly, please contact us for further assistance.

8. Why does the monitor tilt down by itself?

  • To stop the monitor arm tilt head dropping down, the bolt on the tilt head needs to be tightened.
  • Turn the bolt clockwise until the tilt head maintains position.
  • Ensure you can still tilt the monitor. Don't overtighten the bolt.
